6 to 8-Year-Old Children
Most 8-year-olds continue to develop their vocabulary rapidly, with an estimated 3,000 new words learned in a year.
Children are also beginning to show their ability to play on words. They should start using a word to convey the opposite of its literal meaning.

 - Be able to talk about what they are good or not good at doing
 - Be able to talk and write about what they like
 - Be able to read about their childhood memories and write their own using the verb “to be” in past simple
 - Be able to compare things that are alike and different using comparative and superlative adjectives
 - Be able to describe people
 - Be able to talk and write about daily routines using present simple
 - Be able to use past simple with regular verbs
 - Be proficient at using must/ mustn’t to express obligation
 - Have more fluency reading age-appropriate texts in this language
 - Use correct pronunciation when speaking in English

These milestones will help you choose content from eKids that your child finds engaging and that can also help improve their English skills.
